WEEK 17(FYP1)

Date:23/6/2020

Title: Final week Fyp1

This is the final week for the semester and FYP 1. After submitting the FYP 1 report and progress report, all FYP 1 students need to do a presentation explaining their FYP to the accessors for project approval.  Because of the special circumstance for this semester, face to face presentations cannot be held and the FYP committee asked all FYP students to make a video on their presentation. The video must briefly present the slide on the student's project. The video criteria are the presentation must not longer than 10 minutes because the time provided per student is only 15 minutes including the Q&A session. So here are my video presentation that i have prepare for the presentation FYP1.

Title: Conclusion

Within this week I also have done my conclusion for Fyp 1 report. This conclusion will give a good glimpse to the reader about understanding towards my project.

Conclusion

As the conclusion, the project demonstrates the design of the flood monitoring and early warning system with the implementation of the Internet of Things (IoT) which will support the project for the active flood occurrence of the selected region. In addition, this project will also set up a network to provide the relevant authorities and experts with information on the existing water level in order to improve their responsibilities. Accurate prediction of flood is critical as the early warning system to the public to alert them about potential incoming flood disaster. As years roll on, this flood monitoring system will make a lot of improvements to the newer technology. The group will then interpret the warning message more quickly and more accurately

WEEK 16(FYP1)

Date:15/6/2020

Title: Expected Cost

After done with my methodology on the previous week, so this week I have make some expected cost of the hardware/component that i will used in my project. Within this week also i have crate expected result for my project that can be put on my thesis in chapter 4.

Title: Expected result

Expected result

The Arduino will collect data from ultrasonic sensor every second. It measured 3 different water level distance ranged from more than 12 cm which is normal, 9cm until 12 cm is moderate and less than 9cm is high. All the collected data will be display on IoT platform which is Thingspeak and Blynk application through esp8266 WI-FI module. Then LCD will be reflecting the level indicator as well as the distance of the water and displays on the widgets which used LED as the indicator (green for normal, yellow for moderate and red for high). Table below show the tabulates the range of level indicator that indicates the distance of sensor for safety purposes.
