WEEK 14(FYP1)

Title: Methodology and Findings

In this week, I have decided to see if the hardware that I have use in my project is compatible or not. To do that I must design the circuit diagram with the main part of the hardware, which is ultra-sonic sensor, Arduino uno and esp8266 Wi-Fi module. By using the software fritzing, I have created the circuit diagram that can be shown on the picture

The picture above shows the circuit diagram of 3 main devices, the HC-SR04 Ultrasonic sensor, the Arduino one and the ESP8266 Wi-Fi module. From the ESP8266 Wi-Fi module, connect both the VCC/3.3V / Power Pin and the Enable Pin (red wires) to the 10 K resistor and the Uno +3.3V power pin. The ESP Ground / GND Pin (Black Wire) will be attached to Uno's Ground / GND Pin. After that, link the ESP's TX (green wire) to Uno's Pin 3 link the ESP's RX (blue wire) to 1K resistor and then to Uno's Pin 2. Link the RX (blue wire) of the ESP to 1K resistor and then to the GND Pin of Uno. VCC (red wire) connects to Uno's 5v pin for the HC-SR04 Ultrasonic sensor. The Trig sensor (yellow wire) must connect to the 9 pins of the Uno. Then the Echo sensor (silver wire) connects to pin 2 Uno and the Ground / GND sensor (yellow wire) connects to Uno's Ground / GND. The 10K and 1K resistor is used to prevent microcontroller from damage.
