WEEK 12(FYP1)

Date:18/5/2020

Title: Methodology and Findings

In this week, I have decided to make some research on microcontroller that I will use in my project. Microcontrollers are widely used in embedded systems and make devices work according to our needs and requirements. The main function of the program is to get the information from that from the sensor. After consideration and get suggested from my friends and supervisor, I decide to choose use Arduino Uno integrated circuit to control the operation in and out of my project. It because, is it simple to use and there are a lot of tutorials about the hardware and software. The picture below shows the Arduino pin out:

The Arduino Uno is a microcontroller board based on the ATmega328 (datasheet). It has 14 digital input/output pins (of which 6 can be used as PWM outputs), 6 analog inputs, a 16 MHz ceramic resonator, a USB connection, a power jack, an ICSP header, and a reset button. It contains everything needed to support the microcontroller; simply connect it to a computer with a USB cable or power it with a AC-to-DC adapter or battery to get started.
